.June 24, 2009 - It's not going to be a busy July as far as Xbox 360 releases go. As you may have seen in our recent Games of Summer 2009 feature, there are only a handful of titles on the way. While some Xbox 360 owners might be thrilled at the prospect of picking up NCAA Football 10 and The King of Fighters XII, maybe you and your friends are looking for something a little different in these summer months. Many by now know about Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty: World at War, Halo 3, Rock Band 2, Left 4 Dead, and Gears of War 2, all great games that routinely show up on most popular Xbox 360 games lists, but what else is out there that offers an interesting multiplayer experience?With this list, we're here to help. The following article contains ten games we plucked out of the Xbox 360 library that, although some are a few years old at this point, offer much different kinds of multiplayer gaming than what you may be used to. Hardcore gamers have probably already checked out everything here, but for the population of Xbox 360 owners who don't necessarily follow the day to day happenings of the videogame industry or just recently picked up a console, the list should be helpful. The VF series is not for casual gamers who want something that's easy to pick up and play; VF is for those willing to dedicate themselves to learning the fighting system. Before you dive into this review, know my position: Virtua Fighter 4 Evo on PS2 is the best fighting game ever made and one of the best games of all time. When Virtua Fighter 5 was released on PlayStation 3, I didn't feel it was on par with VF4 Evo.

Have fun shopping.August 24, 2007 - Today at GC Editor Erik Brudvig and I had the chance to rough each other up in a match of Virtua Fighter 5 online. It was a rough and tumble match of Leon versus Jackie over Xbox Live on test servers and we were pleased to find that there was no noticeable gameplay lag in our match. The game also supports the Xbox Live Headset which we wore even though the consoles were directly next to each other - I didn't want Erik to miss singoe one of my taunts. There was a slight delay for our vocals but again, none for our attacks.
